The spice blend contains Greek hay or triplat and asafoetida.

Asafoetida is a gummy resin of a plant native to Pakistan. It has a strong sulphurous odour. When cooking, add it appropriately.

According to Ayurveda, asafoetida provides an invigorating, warming, pungent and bitter taste.It reduces Vata and Kapha dosha.
