BABYSOFT Body Temperature Meter with cute baby motif and soft tip.

The BABYSOFT electronic thermometer with teddy bear motif has a flexible soft tip, which ensures fast, safe and accurate body temperature measurement. Measurement takes approximately 1 minute for oral measurements and 2 minutes for rectal and axillary (armpit) measurements.

The measured temperature is displayed on the LCD display and the end of the measurement is signaled by an audible beep. The BABYSOFT Temperature Gauge will beep differently at elevated temperatures than at normal body temperature:

  • fever (>37.8 °C): 30 short beeps in 10 seconds,
  • normal body temperature: 10 long beeps in 10 seconds.

Use

Instructions for use:

  • To turn on the thermometer, press the ON/OFF button. You have turned on the thermometer correctly when you hear a short beep and all symbols appear on the screen.
  • With the letter "M" in the right hand corner, the last measured temperature will be displayed.
  • When the letter "L" appears and the °C symbol starts flashing, it means that the thermometer is ready to measure the temperature.
  • A beep sounds and the °C stops flashing to indicate that the temperature measurement is complete.
  • Press the ON/OFF button to turn the device off. Otherwise, the device will switch off automatically after 10 minutes.
  • Measurement:

    • Measuring armpit temperature:Wipe the armpit with a dry towel and insert the tip of the thermometer into the armpit. Place your hand next to your body in the correct position. Approximate measurement time is 2 minutes, the end of the measurement is signaled by an audible signal.
    • Measuring the temperature in the mouth: Place the tip of the thermometer under the tongue, as close to the beginning of the tongue as possible. Make sure the thermometer does not move. Close your mouth and breathe normally. The approximate measurement time is 1 minute, the end of the measurement is signaled by an audible signal.
    • Measuring rectal temperature: Apply an appropriate amount of water-based gel to the tip of the thermometer. Then gently insert the tip into the rectum to half the length of the tip or to a maximum depth of 2 cm. The approximate measurement time is 1 minute, the end of the measurement is signaled by an audible signal.
    • Caution: normal body temperature and elevated body temperature vary depending on the measurement site.

    Battery Replacement:The battery needs to be replaced when the battery symbol appears in the lower right corner of the screen. Battery type: alkaline LR41 1.5V round battery or AG3 silver oxide button battery.

    Battery replacement instructions: Remove the cover. Pull the battery holder out about 18 mm. Using a suitable tool, remove the old battery and replace it with a new one.

    Cleaning: Before and after each use, wipe the thermometer with a soft cloth dampened in a solution of isopropyl alcohol or cold soapy water. It may be soaked in water or alcohol. Do not soak for too long. Do not sterilize with boiling water, gas or steam.

    Cautions

    Caution: Read instructions carefully before use. The thermometer should only be used under the supervision of an adult. Do not walk, run or talk while taking the temperature. When not in use, store the thermometer in its protective packaging in a dry and safe place. Do not expose the thermometer to direct sunlight, moisture, dust or extreme temperatures. Do not boil the thermometer and be careful not to drop it on the ground. Never repair the thermometer yourself or open the cover, except to replace batteries.
