Propolis (or hymenoptera) is a product of bees. It is made by bees from balsams and resins they collect from the leaf buds of certain trees. Due to its resin/glue-like structure, bees use it in the hive to coat the inner walls, repair combs, seal internal cracks (hence the name "brood")... They also use it to coat the inside of the cells where the queen bee will lay her eggs. The main active ingredients of propolis are plant dyes - bioflavonoids, which protect the plants from microorganisms.

Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) is an evergreen tree native to Australia. Apart from the wood, its leaves are most commonly used. The leaves need to be boiled well and can be used to make tea, added to various dishes (for example, Portuguese fishermen use them to add a smoky flavour to fish). Eucalyptus is known in folklore for its beneficial effects on the throat, oral cavity and pharynx.

A daily dose contains 50 mg of propolis extract and 25 mg of eucalyptus essential oil.
